Amalgame Studio is a satellite design practice founded in 2024 by Emmie Massias and Marine Col, working at the intersection of territory and material culture through a non-linear process of research, experimentation, and making. Moving fluidly between local craftsmanship and industrial production, the studio leans into the tensions inherent to raw materials and their processes rather than smoothing them over — treating contrast and contradiction as generative rather than something to resolve. Since 2024 the studio has shown at Art Week Guadalajara, Collectible Fair New York, Paris Design Week, Singapore Design Week, and a solo show during 3 Weeks of Design in Ho Chi Minh City, with gallery collaborations including Lyle Gallery in New York, Supermama in Singapore, and Gallery Medium in Ho Chi Minh City.
