Attolini was a multidisciplinary architect that explored almost every architectural genre, gaining fame with what he called “integral architecture,” where every exterior and interior element —from the architectural program to furniture, accessories, and landscaping— is considered as part of a unified, coherent architectural project.
In 1969, he developed his distinct style as a designer of furniture, ornamental objects, rugs, and lamps. His projects reflect his interest in Mexican regionalism, international brutalism, and modern innovations.
