A prolific architect, industrial designer, and mentor to multiple generations, Ernesto Gómez Gallardo created furniture pieces that are closely tied to the history of modernity in Mexico. His focus on modularity and the optimization of materials and production methods earned him a silver medal at the 1960 Milan Triennale. He was also the creator of the Mexican pavilion at the 1958 World’s Fair in Brussels.
