The Aurum Cabinets aim to offer a dialogue between material, memory, and presence. Rooted in artisanal tradition and designed to question our relationship with the objects closest to us, each cabinet tells a story through its craft and composition. The designers harmonized the wood, with its visible rings and natural markings, carries the quiet imprint of time and gold—sacred, symbolic, and luminous—evoking the sun and a sense of permanence. Together, these materials invite reflection on heritage, mysticism, and the layers of meaning embedded in form.
Design
Each cabinet is made from sandblasted wood and finished with 23-carat gold leaf, applied by hand to highlight the natural grain and variation in the surface. The clean volume sits atop traditional X-shaped legs, creating a visual tension between solidity and elevation. The cabinet's double doors open along a central axis, allowing for either symmetrical or offset compositions depending on how they’re installed. The result is a functional object with sculptural clarity—rooted in craftsmanship, but designed for modern spaces.
