Armando Franco was a Mexican architect and designer known for his refined modernist sensibility and deep attention to material and structure. A student of José Villagrán and collaborator of Max Cetto, his work reflects a commitment to clarity, modular thinking, and elegant restraint. Franco’s designs translate architectural logic into timeless forms — crafted with precision, built to endure.
Design
The SL3C Chair refines a modular language through subtle shifts in posture and proportion. Its projecting front legs terminate in cylindrical joints that receive leather-wrapped armrests, creating a grounded yet expressive silhouette.
A variation on the S2C, this version combines precise joinery with hand-turned cedar and leather elements — a compact, sculptural form that balances structure and ease. Designed with both low and tall versions, the SL3C embodies confident adaptability and enduring craftsmanship.
