Armando Franco was a Mexican architect and designer known for his refined modernist sensibility and deep attention to material and structure. A student of José Villagrán and collaborator of Max Cetto, his work reflects a commitment to clarity, modular thinking, and elegant restraint. Franco’s designs translate architectural logic into timeless forms — crafted with precision, built to endure.
Design
Designed in 1955, the COFRAN Table M1C distills Franco's architectural approach into a modular, handcrafted form. Composed of solid cedar pieces assembled with visible pressure wedges, the table reveals its structure with precision and elegance — an H-shaped base running cleanly through its surface.
Reissued by Clásicos Mexicanos, this piece reflects a moment where craft and modernism converged. It can be made to order in three size variations. Please inquire.
