Designed by Raúl de la Cerda in collaboration with German designer Carsten Lemme, Ja is part of the KA’AN collection — a body of work that honours the origins of humanity and the lineage of Mexico’s artisan traditions. The collection blends ancestral Mayan symbolism with contemporary techniques, expressed through resin and the signature tone of Mayan blue.
Design
Named after the Mayan word for “water,” Ja draws inspiration from ancient vessels used for storing and honouring this vital element. Its sculptural form and satin textural finish in Mayan blue resin evoke the flow and power of water — both as a physical resource and a spiritual force.
